Desserts and Wine Pairing

A fun sensory session exploring two fermented friends. Review techniques for tasting, evaluating and getting more enjoyment from wine while sampling three delicious desserts with a variety of dessert wines. Discover professional pairing guidelines to match desserts with wines and then judge for yourself what goes best.

Kevin Appleton graduated college with a teaching degree and pursued his passion for cooking at the Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago and the French Pastry School.  Kevin has worked in fine dining restaurants in Chicago and Melbourne, Australia.  He was the Executive Chef for the Institute of Culinary Arts at Robert Morris College in Chicago and was the Chef for Vom Fass Madison for 5 years. He has won several cooking awards and has appeared on live TV demos, local news publications and on NPR.  Kevin joined the Madison College Culinary Arts faculty in 2009 and shares his expertise and love of good food and drinks a wider audience through these courses.
