Join internationally celebrated author and food activist Gary Paul Nabhan for a talk, demo and book signing. Nabhan will also demonstrate how to make kishk, a Lebanese ferment, and Mexican corn beer.

Gary Paul Nabhan is an internationally celebrated nature writer, food and farming activist, and proponent of conserving the links between biodiversity and cultural diversity. He has been honored as a pioneer and creative force in the local food movement and seed-saving community. His deep-rooted views and knowledge of the important connection between soil, community, economic, and ultimately human health is the perfect starter culture for fermenting your good food and good will.

Early-bird registration: Register by September 15, 2013 to receive a $5.00 discount on your class, after which time all class tickets will be regular priced. Family programming and Farm Tours are excluded.
