2018 Passwords Winners Announced

The winners of the 2018 Passwords competition have been announced! Guest judge, former Wisconsin Poet Laureate Max Garland selected four winners and four honorable mentions. The winners are:

Brenda Axt, of Greenfield, WI,

Krista Eastman, of Madison, WI,

Pamela Johnson, of Brooklyn, WI,

Laurel Radzieski, of Scranton, PA.

Works by these poets will be featured along the 2018 Farm/Art DTour (October 6-14). Poems are fashioned after the old Burma Shave advertisements: five short lines with lines 2 and 5 rhyming. Keep an eye out for these roadside poetry signs along the DTour, and in the meantime, enjoy the below four poems by this year’s honorable mentions!
