UNESCO named Mexican cuisine a cultural heritage. How do you improve on that? By covering it in chocolate! Join Roots Chocolates founder Lisa Nelson and agave enthusiast Lou Bank as they mash up the Mexican culture that Lou loves with the award-winning chocolate that Lisa makes right on her farm in Wisconsin Dells. This five-part tasting event includes a taste of chocolate-covered agave; a truffle made with Mexican fruits you can’t find in the USA; a pre-Hispanic cacao-based drink called tascalate; a truffle made with an agave spirit; and chocolate-covered cacao nibs! Along the way, you’ll also drink a few traditionally made agave spirits.
