Tempted by Tempeh? Join this veteran Tempeh maker as he shares his family recipes all the way from Indonesia. Learn how to make and cook this deliciously hearty and healthy fermented soybean product.





Roni Sjachrani came to the US from Indonesia in 1980 to study Sociology at UW Madison. Out of curiosity and longing for his native food, he began to experiment with making tempeh. After a period of trial and error Roni has come up with the perfect recipe and now for 20 years has been making tempeh for his household, restaurant (Bandung Indonesian Restaurant) and other grocery stores in Madison. After years of experimentation he now wants to share his knowledge and experience of making this healthy traditional food from his beloved country Indonesia.
